    XP to Win 7

Just wanted to know if this is upgradeable to win 7?

    AMD Dual Core Processor
    2GB memory
    MST Mainboard K9N6GM
    DVD Writer
WD 80GB 7200 RPM IDE Harddrive
    Windows XP
    1GB Video Card
    SanSung 19" video

Not sure what memory or video card.. Just wondering if it is upgradeable to Win 7 as is? OR, what would I have to change to do so? I am on fixed income and little of that too. Thanks in advance

Seems like there are chipset and on-board audio drivers for Windows 7 - Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design

With 2GB RAM, best is you install the 32bit version.

In addition I'd run the Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Official Microsoft Download Center

Would be good to add another 1 or 2gb RAM stick. Start by running Crucial System Scanner software to find out what type of memory is in your computer to compare their prices with other places on the web for the same RAM part number or RAM specs.

If you decide to go ahead then follow these same steps which compile everything that works best to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

The only win-7 I've seen around is home premium and no 2gb is not enough not even for 32 bit imho
3 is a good sweet spot for 32 bit
4gb is good for home premium
gpu is fine 1gb will be fine I have one too on another system that I've had for 6 years.

So looks like your ram is all you need to upgrade
Buy a complete 4gb ram pack you can use the upgrade advisor from Crucial for a recommend and take that type/ model shopping on either Amazon or Newegg for the best pricing
Crucial.com - Guaranteed-compatible memory and storage upgrades for your Toshiba computer

Adding a ssd is another great investment but just a newer larger hdd would be best 250gb range on either ssd or hdd.

Crucial has a active x search the machine utility you let run and it takes you to the recommended ram upgrade
Using x-p might throw it off though ?

If so then that as well as Kingston, PNY, Edge, Corsair all have RAM finders by inputting your PC make/model. You can also google the PC make/model + RAM upgrade or Memory Upgrade. If you'll post back your PC make/model someone who likes doing it will probably find the best value for you.
