    Users profile

    hello,
My computer used by more than one user, every user has his own account. But any user can go to user folder and display files and data for the other users, how can i keep my data save so no other user can log into my profile and ( copy- delete- read ) my data.

    Regards

They shouldn't be able to if they are Standard user accounts. If everyone are admins, then there is no stopping them to view your files. However, you can still remove Administrators group from security tab of your user account folder properties. It should at least stop double click entering the folder.

You should ask your friend about what he has in mind.

Answer a couple of questions though:
    - Is this a family PC? Who else is using it?
    - Are other users administrators or standard users?
    - Do you have data in anywhere other than your user account folder?

You should create standart user account for them and administrator one for you.
Then you can set password to your administrator account and keep your files from being modified by others.
When they turn the computer on,there will be 2 options for them:

1.Enter password and access the administrator(your) account

2.Enter no password and access a regular ,standart account(This user account won't allow them modify your files)

The questions by GoKay in Post#4 need to be answered.

    Re:

In a shared (family PC), every account, Standard or Admin, should have a password.
That way any Standard user can't just click on some other Standard account at login, and do who knows what ...
i.e. Is your family is ok with Billy-Bob logging in as Mary-Joe and being mischievous ?

If you want a "Temp" profile, look into using the Guest account.

You can't hide anything from another administrator but make it so that he has to change permissions to gain access.

Add your own user account to user profile folder (C:\Users\<yourfolder>) as Full Control. Click Apply/Ok and then remove Administrators group.
