    Get rid of Guest as a logon?


    Having tried to use Guest for something I can no longer stop it appearing as an option when logging on. Turning it off doesn't help, it still appears on the log-on screen.

    When you turned it off, did you use Control Panel>User Accounts>Manage another account>Guest>Off? I imagine that you did, because I'm not aware of any other way to do it. When you select the guest account at login, what happens?

    Yes, I did use control panel.
    Actually logged on as guest now, for the first time, and then logged on as myself. Saw that guest was switched on. Switched it off and rebooted - guest gone.
    It seems you can't switch it off until you have used it at least once!! (I had just enabled it, not actually used it.)
