    Win.7 home premium problem

I have been trying to place two windows side by side on screen in order to copy and paste from one to the other without success. I find after following instructions from a manual that after clicking onto an empty space on the task bar the dialogue box that appears has the windows side by side option greyed out. How can I rectify this.

Regrettfully I could not understand this information. However thanks for the input. I have now managed to sort out the problem myself and can now put the two windows side by side on the screen.
