Just a question regarding this topic.
Is there a way to set the permissions on the C drive manually?
So, I found out that Win7 doesn't like to save directly to the C: for security reasons.
I guess it means that I should just save to folders WITHIN the C: and not directly TO C:?
Do I have this right?
...that is one thing that i noticed, I can't save directly to C: but you can move/paste files to C: drive.
try using the "take ownership" tool this and turning off UAC may work better

Why would you want to save files to the root of drive C: ? ?
This after awhile would affect performance...or am i misunderstanding here ? ?
OK you need to take ownership instructions here Take Ownership Shortcut
It isnt a real good idea to save to root. why would you want to?
