    Remove the "Restart" button

    Hello there,
I was wondering either it is possible to remove the restart button from the start menu in windows 7 (but only restart, shutdown has to stay)?

Maybe it is also possible to disable all restart options for the machine- I mean, for example when system wants install update and then restart pc, then he should be forced to turn it off instead of restart.

    I would aprecciate all help.

    Hello Łukasz,

I'm afraid the answer appears to be no. It's one of those all or none setting.

Shut Down, Restart, Sleep, and Hibernate Commands - Add or Remove

However, you could allow or prevent users and groups from being able to use the shut down commands, including restart.

I see. If I remove the buttons, will pressing power button still work for shutting the system down? Or a command line command?

    Yes, that would still work.
