Try to boot from Installation CD/DVD. It can detect and repair and restore to earlier date. Please try it
That's the most absurd thing I've heard in a while. Why would you want mail on other servers for people to gain access to and attack your identity? I use a hosted Exchange Server but I always archive my emails on my HD and there isn't much more than a week of data on my .ost. Hard drives are so inexpensive, why would you not want data stored with you, privately?
Outlook connector.
This is just great, and free! E-mails are on the server AND the personal computer.
Edit: Or Windows Live Mail.
Agreed with that but only partially.
I believe he ment that it is more secure to pick up your mail through web servers when you are looking at trojan horses, viruses, spam, etc. because web servers filtrate your mail, but on the other side, there is always possibility that someones stole your password and reads your mail and leave it on the server, and you don't even know that till the moment you do some transaction, change your bank account details or something.
