Boot Disk failure
Hi All, enjoy the summer. I need some help please. For some reason 3 days ago I got the boot disk failure message. I have noticed that after doing the bootrec.exe all commands, and easyBCD all commands as in here : https://neosmart.net/wiki/easybcd/ti...ws-bootloader/. Nothing fixes the problem. Here is the curious part there must be a software switch that tells my Win 7 64 bit that windows is on drive D: as opposed to C:. Win7 or any other windows were never on drive D:.Win 7 is on Drive C:. Also while this is gone on this same switch makes the partition on D: active and says boot in Windows Disk manager. Scanning with Bootrec.exe with the scanos switch shows 0 Operating system. I have 3 internal hardrives C: D:and E:. All have only one partition. The windows Repair environment (RE) repair computer from starting does run but does not fix the problem. It also does not show a operating system to repair. Here is a hint I think, if I put the Win 7 install CD in the CD player and reboot when it says press any key to boot from CD, I DO NOT press any key and the computer boots just fine every time. So it must load a boot command from the CD even though I did not press any key I just let it go on. I would like to fix the problem but where is the wrong software command that tells my win installation that Windows is on drive D:. How to get to the boot manager? Your help would be much appreciated. Regards Peter
