    Well without your system specs how was I to know what ram or how many sticks you had installed.
    That is exactly why I requested the information.

    Your motherboard is designed to work with dual channel. Which mean for the ram and motherboard to work it best you will need a match pair (2) of ram modules (sticks).

    H61MGC :: Motherboard :: BIOSTAR

    MEMORY Support Dual Channel DDR3 1066/1333/1600 MHz
    2 x DDR3 DIMM Memory Slot
    Max. Supports up to 16GB Memory
    It's your computer so you can use what ever test you choose. It was a suggestion on my part not a demand to use the newer MemTest.

    I was not trying to be arrogant, just explained why it used v4 of memtest, it is older machine, I downloaded newest, but it decided to use v4.

    I can try to put one more stick 4gb and see will that fix problem.

    Another matching stick of ram may or may not solve your problem but your computer will preform better.

    The reason we request System Specs to be completed properly and in the proper location is so members do not have to search through a thread looking for them.

    I and many other members read dozens and dozens of threads every day looking to help other members and we would go crazy looking for system specs with out this lower left corner of every post method.
