    i cant get in to my bios


    I am having trouble getting to my bios screen the splash screen says f2 but nothing happens it just loads windows. i have tried F2, F8, F10, ESC, DEL keys with nothing. please help!

    Have you tried upgrading your BIOS?What is your Pc model?

    What kind of keyboard are you using? If USB, try an older PS/2. Many of those older boards wouldn't recognize USB until Windows started and loaded the driver.

    it is a refurbished gateway and yes it is usb keyboard

    That motherboard was used in Gateway 9310x PCs but is no longer supported by Gateway that I could find. What third-party updates are available, your BIOS version is already newer. I wouldn't trust third-party updates anyway unless you personally know the source.

    using the old keyboard let me get in but not much i could tweak i think i just need a newer pc this thing is so sloooowwww!

    You're welcome.

    Yeah, it is a bit outdated and not many BIOS options were allowed by OEMs.
