The update errors
I cannot upload the CBS.zip file. It gets to about 12% and then restarts.
Then I get a connection failed error
The installed Product Key is an MSDN one - from where did you acquire this Key?
I'll try and post a fix for some of the SFC errors later today.
I had this computer built by a technician recommended by a friend.
But I do have a win7 sp1 disk.
Should I do a repair install?
In that case, the install (unless you are an MSDN subscriber) is counterfeit.
MSDN Licenses are ONLY valid when used by the subscriber themselves, and cannot be sold or even given away.
If they charged you for the license, then you should demand a refund for that part of the cost.
You will have to purchase a new valid license for Windows 7 and swap the Key from that into your current install.
Hi,
Thanks Noel for looking at the issue :)
Could you take a picture of the disk and post it,
This is not a disk supplied by the builder is it ?
This computer is something my late husband arranged to have built.
Not sure I can find the details any more.
In any case, the attached photos are of a disk I bought as a back-up through ebay

Interesting - is there a COA sticker on the case of your machine, or a Proof of License card in the disk case?
If so, please quote just the last 5 characters of it.
The machine has no Windows sticker anywhere on it.
The disk I photographed is not associated with this machine in any way.
I just bought it on ebay because I was worried that the computer came without any cd's
