    ebay may explain it
Which is not a good place to buy software
Stick with Newegg or Amazon or local software companies in your area.
Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it :/

As far as I know the repair install disk has to be the original disk used for the install,
And even then windows updates out date the disk to possibly only startup repair and command prompt goodies
Noel can possibly clear that up or Brink's tutorial,

I just bought it on ebay because I was worried that the computer came without any cd's
Ah - you were right to be worried
A repair install will fix the immediate problem - but NOT the problem of the counterfeit install.

A Repair Install will ask and want the proper activation COA key to complete properly.

The problem with using the one from the 'Refurbisher' pack is that it's an OEM one (if genuine) and will force a clean install.
To get around this do NOT enter the Key when asked - this will force the use of the Default Key, which will allow the repair.
You can then swap in the Key from the pack afterwards, and hopefully activate it.

If you opt to do this, please post a new MGADiag report afterwards.
