Automaticly Run On Startup
I have some .ahk files (AutoHotKey files). How do I get them to automatically run when I start the computer ?
p.s. I've found about half a dozen answers on line. None of them work.

Would this help? https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...ml#post3081719
Not sure if you can start ahk files though, maybe you have to compile the exe?
We need more info from you:
1) did you install ahk or are you using the portable version?
2) what version of ahk do you have?
3) are you wanting your script to start before any user logs on?
4) does your script request admin rights
You can put the ahk file directly into the startup folder without compiling.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. In the meantime I stumbled across a clumsy solution that actually works. First I make the hot key string and 'save as' to a file I have named AutoHotKey,still with the .ahk extension. Then I go to that file, right click, and tell it to Run the script. Next, I right click it again and tell it to create a short cut, which I move it to the desktop. Then I go to the Start menu and scroll up to 'Startup'. I open this file and drag the shortcuts into it. Sure it's cumbersome, but hey, it works. Again thanks for the input.
The guide above is actually explaining the same thing.I have two scripts with tons of features and I autostart them by placing a shortcut in the Startup folder
