    300 GB HD Space Used

I did a clean install of Win 7 Pro 64 bit followed by Adobe Lightroom 2.5, Lightroom 3 Beta, Photoshop Elements 7, Reader 9, Mozilla Firefox, AVG Free 9, and OpenOffice. There were no picture files, music files, or video files added. The total size of the above is about 20GB but the C drive shows 303GB used. So something is hogging the other 280GB. Where do I look to find out what and where it is?

Did you delete your windows.old file. OS C Windows.old
If you did a clean/custom as opossed to clean/format it is probably the folder that I mentioned. It is your Old OS.

Thanks for the replies. I checked System Usage and it's sitting at 15% or 103GB. I hate to start moving or deleting folders but I guess I'll see if it makes a difference.

As I said previously, you can safely remove the windows.old. You do it through disc cleanup, on your C drive. It is safe to remove, but first make sure there is nothing from the old OS, that you may want, eg files, favs, etc.

Thanks Rich, you were right. I did remove Windows.old to another drive and it was much larger than what was being reported in 'Computer.' Now the C drive is down to 133GB which makes more sense.
