    "Rock and a ..............

I went to Display and enlarged the print to 150%. I'm almost 85 years old and my eyesight need help.
Now some of the dialogs are off the screen. I move the task bar to a side position but still not enough.
No scroll bars to help. Are there any other tricks available for those of us who need help seeing?

Maybe you can reduce the resolution a bit and also engage the magnifier for harder to read text instead?

    Blockie:

Go back to personalize and then display.

Do you see a choice for "set custom text size (DPI)" on the left of the screen?

    I have it on mine.

I have set my text size to 165 to make the icons and text larger on my 1600 x 900 resolution screen. Otherwise, I'd have trouble reading text. 150 is tolerable, but 165 is better. I think you can go above 165.

I don't know if it matters, but I am using integrated graphics on an Intel i5 processor.

    Try it.

By the way, you can fine tune icon sizes a bit by CTRL+mouse wheel - if you enlarge the icons too much they may disappear. So back down if so.

Blockie, 85 and still playing is great. Use the ctrl and + keys to zoom in, ctrl and - to zoom out

Let me know how it goes.

I may be strange, but others are stranger!

That works on web pages, but nothing else, as far as I can tell.

AddRAM, Ctrl and + or - works in my Photoshop CS4, Windows Photo Viewer, Adobe Acrobat Pro, all .pdf, .jpg, .bmp, .gif. Not sure why it might only work for you on web pages?

Blockie, like torchwood mentioned, a television these days usually will have the connections needed to hook up a computer and serve as a monitor. I have my 47 inch Toshiba connected and I can read my screen from 6 to 8 feet away. What TV do you have? Some TV's will even support wireless connection. I am connected with HDMI, but have the option of using a standard computer monitor cable which uses a DB-15 connector and would also require a stereo audio cable for sound. The HDMI supports audio. I see you are in CA. If you want some help via phone (NO CHARGE), just say so.
