    Back to win 7

Having used win 10 since the 29 July and having had more than enough problems with errors in the event viewer and also MS trying to download another update over an already activated copy of 10, I decided to return to win 7 pro. The first thing I noticed was how much faster 7 loaded and how much faster the response is under win 7 compared to 10. I know it's early days with 10 and things can only improve, but for now I will stay with my trusty win 7 pro.

I had the same problems with Windows 10. The main problems were the automatic updates, and there was no way to remove all that preinstalled bloatware that came with it.

I'm a windows 7 returnee as well. I'm done with Windows 10. I'm not even bothering with my Win 8.1 retail disk any more. I have removed all the telemetry garbage relating to those two O/S. I've read countless posts regarding how "fast" they are in comparison with 7 but did not notice any speed increase with them and my 7 installation zips along just fine.
I wonder how much the "speed increase" with the "latest & greatest" was perceived by users because newer has to be better right?

    Hi,
Yep most of the fast referrals were with startup and it was only because of fake shutdown which 8-8.1 and now 10 uses,
Turn fast start off/ hibernation and 8's and 10 are slow as snails starting up.

7 systems are only as slow as the msconfig startup list are long
