    Win7Pro: Explorer.exe doesn't display for user

I changed permissions to hide the 'My ....' folders. Now, when I try to run explorer, it shows up in the process table, but doesn't display anything on the screen. The user ID in question has admin privileges. It works fine for other user IDs.

I tried ticking the 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives' under 'Folder Options | View', no luck.

If I open the recycle bin, the explorer screen comes up just fine.

I'm sure I screwed up permissions for something, but I can't figure out what.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    TIA
    Rick

System Restore to a date before the change - System Restore
And remove libraries the proper way - Libraries Folder - Add or Remove from Navigation Pane

    Restore Failed

I tried multiple restore points, and they all failed as being 'corrupt'. However, explorer is working ok now.

    Go figure!

Anyway, I just set up a scheduled task to create regular restore points.

    Thanks.
