    Fingerprint Scanner

has anybody else had a problem with their fingerprint scanner since upgrading from Vista? I take 5 or 6 or sometimes even more, attempts to log on/open programs etc since upgrading whereas on vista it did it first time every time. I have the acer aspire 6935G (Acer Aspire 6935G-844G32Bn Gemstone Blue Laptop LX.ATP0X.065 - Acer Direct)

it's only 2 months old so still under warranty. It's just as soon as i upgraded to windows 7, thats when the problems started. as if the drivers are possibly dodgy (no updates available for them) and the sensor is now out of sync or something.

I would remove the software and uninstall it from device manager, then reboot and install it again.
Mine did the same when I did an upgrade but when done on a clean install there was no issues.

What edition of win7 are you using? To check, go to StartRight Click ComputerProperties.
Look at the top, it should mention WIndows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate. Then under System type, does it say 32bit or 64bit?

it's the home premium 32 bit version. I got the upgrade disc when it came out and did a full clean install rather than just an upgrade.
