Script to automate this task?

Hello all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't sure where it should be, so excuse me if I'm incorrect.

I have a task that needs to be performed today. We are changing a .txt file on multiple computers (about 10) for a program we have. I was planning on just \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\c$ into each one individually and changing it in the proper folder. Is there a way I can create a batch file to do this? I already placed the file in the directory, and just need to overwrite the old file with the new one, and re name the old one in case anything goes wrong. (new.txt overwrites script.txt, change script.txt to oldscript.txt). Let me know if you can help, just looking to make life easier and learn something on a Friday night, thanks.

Are you still after a script for this, despite it no longer being 'today'? The task is very do-able with batch.

A script to automate moving files off C: prior to backup?
I back up my files and system image weekly. I move the recorded TV shows (broadcast TV, nothing illegal) before that from my hard drive onto an external drive. Another drive in the same cabinet does the backup. It saves time and I won't want those files after a disc failure anyway. It would be...
