Windows 10: should I stay or should I go?
I just clean reinstalled Windows 7 a couple of days ago. My favorite programs are installed. All is well.
Should I upgrade to Windows 10 now or wait?

Going to Windows 10 has to be a personal decision. Me personally, I love it, but a lot of people don't, so you will get conflicting reviews on the matter. The best time to do it though, would be now, after a clean install, everything's fresh, no junk bogging down your OS, and all that. If you are planning on going to 10, then by all means do it now, you can always revert back to Windows 7 within a month of installing Windows 10, but that's a topic for another day.

Before upgrading take a backup image of your system with Macrium Reflect (Free) then upgrade to Win 10, If you don't like it then in 10 minutes or so you can restore from the bakup to exactly where you were before upgrading.

You can still join the insiders program and have your cake and eat it too without upgrading anything but another hdd to install win-10 on
Of course you need to use a M$ account but mostly win-10 apps require that anyway
