There are no bugs in Windows 7, what ever gave you that idea ?

Windows 7 is the best operating system ever made

@jonesnewton, if you upgraded to windows 10, I believe your Windows 7 oem key is trash now. (not certain on that though)

Your only free option would be to clean install 10 and it should auto activate, becuase you have upgraded to 10 on that machine. Or buy windows 7 or buy windows 10.

Others correct me if I`m wrong.

If I understand you correctly you know have Windows 7 installed. That is good.

Is your Windows 7 activated properly?

Exactly what problems are you having?

Do your have a Microsoft sticker on the bottom of your laptop or in the battery compartment?

It should look something like this.

    Hi,
yes I have Win 7 Home Premium reinstalled about 4 months ago, I do prefer it to 10:) I have the sticker and the correct key installed but the last week it started going slow and "not responding"? Must have downloaded something nasty? Have tried Spyware, Malware, MSE and clean with CCleaner, it cures it for a while, but then goes slow again.
It is an Acer Aspire so it came with OS.

Hi Sorry did not see this post..
Yes I much prefer 7, the bugs I mean is something I must of downloaded, so my only option to reinstall is 10? Is this correct??

I have found on my system what I believe is the last ISO I used, when I open it says its ready to install, so will the key I have (on the sticker and what is produced when I search system) work if I reinstall 7 again? Or is it best to get a download ISO of 10 ready if that does not work?

    Hello Layback Bear,

Sorry, I thought I answered your questions in post 12?

I currently have Win 7 and prefer to keep it, but if the original key is now dead then it seems the only way to update is to 10?

I did also ask about the ISO I have saved (see last post) if I can use it again to reinstall 7 and if the key would work?

    Thanks in advance.

I would personal message you, but you have that option turned off.

The only way to see if the key you have will work is to re install 7, or just try it now to activate windows 7. (if it`s not activated now)

Why didn`t you ever create a disk image of windows 7, then all you would have had to do was create a system repair disc (from 7) to re image the PC.

And right in post #5 you are asking about a windows 10 iso, why would you want that if you don`t want 10 again

If you have the windows 7 iso files (as you stated) on your PC, then why don`t you just burn them to DVD, to create a windows 7 install disc ?

"Why would I buy a key for an old OS" ???

Simple answer, if the key on your COA no longer works, then you`d have to buy a new key.

Not sure what you have there, but a proper iso image of 7 will look like this.
