your documents and personal files should all left when you upgrade Windows 10 without any problems. Still, you may want to back up all of your personal files to an external drive or other source just to be on the safe side. Your Windows apps and settings should also remain intact following the upgrade. But Microsoft cautions that some applications or settings may not migrate.

Only you can decide, based on your personal needs.
However I would say if you are OK with 7, are happy with it, and have no pressing needs for anything windows 10 can offer you over and above what you already have with 7 [bearing in mind it will take stuff away as well] then stay as you are. Newer does not always mean better.

    hi,

When i start up my pc just now. Window 10 started to download on its own. I tried to cancel it but it seems like it has taken some of my disk space.

Question is how can i delete this unwanted file? I can't seem to locate window 10 files.

    Pls refer to pic:

If i just download it through here will it install win10 automatically?

I would recommend you use system restore to get back to before Win 10 downloaded then use Macrium Reflect to make a backup image of your system. Then upgrade to Windows 10 and if you don't like it just use your Reflect backup to restore the system exactly to where it was before you upgraded.
