After win update: disk read error occurred

Hello guys. :)

I get problem today. I get win updates and i intsalled it. Update numbers was 19. Really it take long time.. Maybe about 30min. After that i start my computer and update continue. After that PC restart and i get get this erroro: A disk read error occurred. There is option press CTRL+ALT+DEL. But pc just restarting and i getting same error. How can i fix this? My HDD is not bad. It worked fine. I think all this problem because i did that update and something just crash.. Right now i dont know what to do next..? Maybe somebody can help me with this? I have files and other stuff in my HDD so i not want to reinstall windows or something like that. I just need fix this..

P.S. Maybe month ago i upgrade my inside box and i add one HDD and rise Ram from 4 to 8. But after this everything worked fine. No problem shows. My OS still was in old HDD. New i just add for files and other stuff. P.S.S. Windows 7 Ultimate 86x.

Hey. I had similar issue. Computer shut down with no problem - I saw updates were ready to install. When I tried to turn it on I got information that it can't find something connected with "pxe boot to lan". I pressed F12 to check my booting possibilites and there were only DVD and LAN to choose. I reboot and get in to BIOS. I find option "pxe boot to lan" and turned it off. I saved changes, rebooted and windows started and finished install updates. I have no idea why this problem occured.

Maybe you can tell me more abou this? Where you find this? In bios menu when pc starting? From F12?

Try booting into safe mode (Probably need to press F8 on Bios flash screen) Then if you get into Safe mode, do a system restore to before the update. If that works then backup your hard drive with Macrium Reflect, create a Rescue CD as Macrium will suggest on screen. Then try the update again. If it goes wrong again it is very easy to use your backup to restore your PC.

No , I found it pressing F2 when PC starting. It can differ depending on your onboard BIOS.

I didn't turn it on by myself. I have no idea why it was turned on after reboot.

If it won't help, please give us full error info.

He can't do it because HDD is not detected.

Well.. for me f2 and f8 not working. I only can go with combination f12 and Del. But i can't turn safe mode from there.. i tried with windows cd repair but this not help me too.. i tried unplug and plug again hdd but all is same. In bios i see my hdd.

Maybe there is boot program to test hdd health? And maybe there is something with who i can.. for example fix booting files and maybe my register? As i say i did windows update and i saw that those update updating something with register.
