Folder view options for one specific folder
Hi all,
I'd like one specific folder to always open in List view. How do I do this? Thanks, Kingy75 |

Hi Kingy75, welcome to the Forum.
Not quite sure what you mean, but if you want a specific folder to open every time, you could put a short cut on your Desk Top & click on it whenever you need it. |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. What I mean is how to set the view options for one folder to always open in List view - as opposed to opening in Icon view. Does that make sense? |

I'm going to guess that you know how to set the folder of interest to show in the List view - but that the next time that you open the folder, it is not shown in the List view. Is that correct?

Windows Explorer should automatically remember the view setting for each folder. Unfortunately, the area where this info is stored in the registry gets full or just barfs from time to time. See this post and the link below the video.

Check out these tutorials:
Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders Folder Template - Default If you aren't using all of the built-in Folder Templates, simply use that one for that folder. |
