Minimize, Maximize and X not on the screen

I did a new clean install of Win 7 Home premium Sp1 on a new Crucial SSD, all from Newegg.
All other components were working fine, the only reason to upgrade was that the older WD hd
crashed and the old operating system did not have Sp1. MB is a recent Asus Ma88 with an
embedded HD4250 video. Monitor is an older Gateway 1280 x 720 widescreen. It appears the
icons are above the display limits, but the cursor will work on the icons. I've changed the
resolution and small/med/large settings with no avail. I've downloaded the 2013 ATI HD4250
drivers fresh and updated everything. It doesn't seem to be a resolution issue. Has anyoneever heard of this before ?

    Thanx ia

Hello pwr333, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Double check your DPI settings to make sure that it's set to 100% (96 DPI). A larger DPI than this could cause everything to appear larger and be off screen.

See if the display has a Auto button or adjustment. That sometimes fixes problems like this.
