Enable the hidden Aero Lite theme in Windows 10
I am aware of that Groze and it is not what we asked for. We asked for Aero and they just flat out ignored us. 100,000's of users asked for Aero and that was the best they came up with. Monochromatic awful colour schemes with no 3D effects, shading etc like on Windows 7 and earlier. Just the horrible 16 colour Windows 3.1 icons and colours. To me totally unacceptable for it to look so bad.

Any program that downloads, installs or generally does anything without explicit user consent, or even worse, against user instruction, must be considered MALWARE and treated as such, plain and simple.
And that is exactly how I am treating it!

Do we have any lawyers here?

I for one hope microsoft doesnt automatically download it to my system as Ive already signed up for and tried the many insider preview versions and they were just ok imo. But; when I started seeing issues with 10 like certain drivers, etc not wanting to install; I said nope! Im going back to 7 for awhile. Especially the fact that it seems to have causes startup issues and shutdown issues with my startup files which corrupted my hard drive entirely because I had to do several hard shutdowns because 10 would not shut down my system entirely and completely like its suppose to when you tell the system to power off. Thats when i said; that it!; im done with 10 for awhile. So when i had to start fresh with a brand new hard driver replaced under warranty; I obviously installed 7 ultimate because thats what i have on disc and I am sticking with it for awhile so imo i want no part of 10 for the time being.plus; i for one like have the sidebar gadgets. I like having the additional clock and calendar.

Well, I am using it on my Dell 1545 laptop and it has many redeeming features. I am not a stickler on how it looks or operates most versions work okay. However, our two other PCs have NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 on-board graphic chips and Windows 10 will not install. They have left the billions of us out here with such graphics systems out in the cold and it appears to me they could care less about it. Guess we wait, huh?
Oh, no, no, no. You don't "wait". Micro$oft expects you to go out and buy new hardware!

No Aero for you, no Classic for me. Hell, now you need to resort to a Registry hack to change system fonts with 10!
I've used Classic Win 95/98 theme with 11 point Eurostile font since 2001 on 95c, XP and 7 Pro, and I'm not about to change just because some M$ know-it-all thinks it's old-fashioned.

I am using two Windows7 machines ... one is an OEM (Lenovo laptop, Win Pro7) and the other is a custom build desktop Win7 Ultimate. I'm not seeing any of this 'forcing/downloading/nag' stuff that others are reporting. Why is that?

I have Windows update set to notify me when new updates are available, but not to download automatically.

I think people are concerned if Microsoft will download (not install) windows 10 regardless if the windows 10 upgrade is checked or not next year.

My settings are the same and I have no nags.

You still must understand every update that is suggested by Windows 7 Updates to make sure you don't get fooled and install something you don't want.

The days of trusting Microsoft and just installing Updates is gone.
    W-10 destroyed the trust factor.
