You can`t move a drive to a different PC and expect it to boot.

Why are you trying to do that ?

Just install windows on the new pc with the new drive installed.

    Clean Install Windows 7

You have to buy windows for the new PC.

Did you build this new computer yourself ?

or did you buy this computer from a store ?

Why doesn`t it already have windows installed ?

cloning os to another computer with dissimilar hardware is not supported. you need to do a bare metal recovery. Since you have Acronis, you can backup your system and then perform universal restore to your new computer.

What is a bare metal recovery?

    What is a universal restore?

They are terms I'm not familiar with.

Bare Metal Restore - Ask the Core Team - Site Home - TechNet Blogs in Windows 7 doesn't have this backup option, you can run a command: Wbadmin start backup -backuptarget:X: -allcritical -quiet
(X means the partition to store the image backup) and then restore the image backup.

How long have you been using Acronis? Is it free or paid? it seems the free version doesn't have this option. it seems only AOMEI Backupper provides this universal/dissimilar hardware restore for free
