    Computer shuts down after few minutes of start - Windows 7


    Hi,

    I have a Windows 7 64-Bit OS with 4GB RAM where, I have started the Windows 7 and after few minutes (say 6 ~ 12 mins) it turns off. I don't know what the cause is and trying to sort out.

    Kindly help on this and if there requires more information, feel free to probe for more information related to this.

    Computer specs details provided below:

    Motherboard - DG41RQ
    RAM - DDR2 - Transcend - 800 MHz - 4 GB
    Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad CPU - Q9300 @ 2.5GHz
    BIOS Version - RQG4110H.86A.0017.2011.0322.1523
    System Bus Speed - 1333 MHz
    Operating System - Windows 7 - 64-Bit

    It could be power supply failing.
    Can you get a spare one and try it out?

    Check the temperatures. It could be getting too hot. If the CPU is over 60 degrees C, that is probably the reason. Download this free program to check them https://www.piriform.com/speccy
