Anak, I'm glad to have stopped in and made what hope fully is a valuable contribution. Thanks for the gift you sent my way. I'll take it as a b-day gift from a SF Guru.
What part of PA are you from? I'm in Woodbridge, VA, 22 miles south of the land of idiots, aka, Washington DC, but my family is from Philly.

    Thelma's PC...

    Hello Cyclops and Anak :),

Yes, I am still alive, no I have not cleaned jet because I don't have the stuff for it in the house. Thanks for your concern, I would have switched off and unplugged, but would not have taken out the battery.

What you are both talking about sounds interesting, although I don't have a clue what it is.

Anak, that grammar program you gave me is so good, it does not only correct wrong spelling but also comes up with better hole word suggestions, VERY CLEVER

I did re-install those two system drivers further down in the Device Manager, no change in the sound issue.

This sound problem is so weird because everywhere on this laptop I am being told that everything works fine

Don't you sleep there at all in your neck of the woods ?

Good morning Thelma. Still no luck with the sound issues yet? I've noticed Anak's posts.
If it does turn out to be a hardware issue, your only option will be to take it to a repair shop. I'm assuming you don't really want to crank it open?

    Good morning All.
Thelma, I don't sleep much, I live with a bitch named insomnia.
I am new in your thread, and I am a stupid man, therefore I am always up for a fight.
I'm not going to be doing anything for hours and I want to wait for Anak to see that you are active before I step on his toes, especially since he has a lot more depth of knowledge with regard to what's been done already.
    I'll be standing by.
What's cooking this morning? I like just about anything.

Cyclops, you are not a stupid man, you are a funny man.
You would LOVE a full Austrian breakfast Look it up on the web.

What is cooking this morning is an Update put out Yesterday by our dear friends at M$, which could well give a new record of users on Seven forums

I'm back after sitting in the dark waiting for power to come back on. It looks like Anak may have gone to bed. It is 3 am here.
I think it would be best to wait for him/her, not sure, before I start suggesting things which have already been examined.
May I join you for that breakfast?
Just kidding, but it would be nice.

Hello Lee, I cranked it open once ( to clean the air filters ), what a job! Never again I hope!

And I was assisted by a friend ( you need 4 hands sometimes), and we had the Y-tube video next to it on exactly my laptop model. Frightening: rolleyes:

Definitely a pain in the backside.

It seems to be pointing to hardware though. Is it still under warranty?
