Try windows inbuilt disk clean up
    Controlpanel>Performance information & tools>disk cleanup.

    Note
IF you have not used this utility before then be advised, have a cuppa tea, as it will restart the comp and cleanup masses of files.

Also, be advised that you should not just start the Disk Cleanup program and let it clean up everything without checking what it wants to clear out first.

If I remember correctly my earlier usage of Windows' Recycle Bin and Norton Protected Recycle Bin, I not only had to empty out the Windows Recycle Bin, I also had to empty out the NPRB as well. The adjusted available byte-space normally shows up before a restart, sure will after a restart.
Ya, the OP really should check into that.

Casion, you're correct! Even though Windows Disk Cleaner is pretty safe to use, there are some choices that a user might not want to click yes to -- Game records, MRU stuff, etc. I did that once, and all my remembered Windows Explorer settings such as display sizes, View as List, etc. -- alll went away. Lemmie add this: endusers should check all the click boxes pre-checkmarked by any/all 3rd party disk cleaners, and UNcheckmark the things to save.
** Registry cleaners are a whole different ball-game! That is for another thread :) **
