How wise it, to install Windows Vista now?

I'm little older user of Windows & I have nostalgia to Windows Vista. I liked it in the past. I wanna install it now, but I don't know if I will have problems with modern softwares & games. I'm not much into softwares, but play lots of games. Will I have bad performance in games, or will it run normally like Windows 7?

    Welcome ditendra,

I see no issues with running MS Vista, it's not my cup o tea but if you want you can always set it up as a dual boot and then see which if any makes a difference in the games/work you use or just run Vista. Honestly if you have W7 Ultimate now take it from me......LEAVE IT ALONE !

ditendra, I'm with linnemeyerhere. I still like my old as dirt XP box and it will live on as a separate entity. If you have that 7 Ultimate box and it works, keep it. If you have an old box collecting dust and just need a toy for Vista, go have a blast on the old unit.

I have Win 3.1, Win 95, XP. ME, Vista, NT, etc... all installed as VMs (Virtual Machines). That way if I ever want/need to run them I can fire them up any time I want.

I use VirtualBox software to create the VMs.

Stollin, we should all be so lucky! I have a 95, 98,ME, XP, Vista & 7. No 8, 8.1 or 10, because I don't wish to have more stress in my life at this time. I could have 3.1, but why?
I have enough voices running around in my head as it is.
