Laptop startup blank screen

After the Starting Windows screen a blank black screen with a cursor that I can move pops up that lasts a minute (shouldn't happen with SSD, used to be ~10 second boot). Afterwards the login screen will appear as normal and everything works as normal. This doesn't happen when I boot into safe mode....

hey, I have a HP Pavilion Elite, OP windows seven. The problem i have is when i turn the computer on, it goes through the RAID boot up and the Ethernet Boot up. But after that, all I receive on my monitor is a blank black screen. if anyone knows how to fix this, that would help a lot. Thnx.
