    Can a W7 password reset CD be used on a another PC?


    Can a Windows 7 password reset disk be used on a PC other than the one it was created on?

    If so I'll be able o create the media on my PC and have it with me, if anyone has forgotten their password.

    The answer is No, it will not work. If it was that easy there would be no point in having a password.

    By design a password reset disk will only reset the password on the same computer and for the same account that created it. If it were otherwise passwords would be of no value and business use of Windows 7 would be out of the question.

    Passwords are useless and are only required for company owned work PC`s and Laptops.

    Yea I don't believe passwords are useless unless you forget the password
    Thieves love people that don't use passwords it makes selling machines a lot easier

Hey folks. I havent used my computer n a while (over a yr). I turned my computer on an it asks me 4 my password, i dont remember it, i hit reset, but it pops up "saying using usb or floppy disk. I do knot have either. Is there any other way that i can get around this.
