How do I stop my computer from freezing and making that weird buzzing

Hello there. I need help trying to solve a problem with my old computer. It's starting to constantly freeze when I'm running a couple of programs like Chrome or Skype or even a game on steam. I want to know how to fix it. I'd much rather get a new computer, but that's just not possible at the moment.

    Hi,
Well you might try to clean install and see if that makes a difference if you have the installation media ?
    If not review this,
    ISO image

You could also consider the best upgrade and switch to a ssd in the process on clean install

I agree with Mike, reinstall windows on a brand new ssd.

Your specs are quite confusing, a 111.8 GB motherboard ??

    6.2 GB of memory ?

Please fill in your specs properly :)

haha I'll correct that when I can. I started the download. But, wait, if I uninstall Windows 7, what'll happen to all the files and programs that I installed?

    Hi
You'd need to back up all of your personal files before the clean install,
Any programs would need to be re-installed,
You could try this and keep all but if switching to a ssd it's best to clean install not transfer all of the garbage to an ssd,
