Enter login password get Windows Security HRESULT 0x80074003 error

HP All-in-One desktop with Windows 7 Professional

I recently uninstalled HP Protect Tools from my computer using a program called Revo Uninstaller. During this process I deleted some items from the registry pertaining to HP Protect and was careful not to delete anything else.

After the uninstall, I restarted the computer and logged in but can't bypass the login screen. I get Windows Security HRESULT 0x80074003 error message. I know I am entering the correct password because it has not changed since I've owned the computer.

I have not backed up the data on the hard drive so I prefer not to do a complete system restore back to the original factory setup. Also, I can't seem to find the original install disk for either Windows 7 or HP.

I heard it might be possible to create a system repair disk if I can find another computer with the exact same operating system. Unfortunately, my laptop is Windows 7 Home version instead of Professional.

If I can get my hands on a system repair disc and be able to login, I was hoping to do a system restore back to before I made the changes.

What are my options at this point?

Just wanted to add that I don't know the administrator password or if I set one up at all.

So I went on the HP Support Forum website and looks like other people are having this same problem with logging onto Windows after uninstalling HP Protect Tools Security Suite. Unfortunately, no response/solutions from HP.

Since I can't log on to my computer, how can I tell if I have Windows 32 bit or 64 bit?
