Intermittent freezing and unfreezing

Let's start with the most basic, firstly run a quick scan with any AV suite you have currently installed, if you don't have any active AV protection, then my suggestion would be to install and fully update with Microsoft Security Essentials.

Then complete scans with Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware.

I ran both of those already. Didn't detect anything. I use Avast btw.

Are you using the 320.18 nVidia driver?

if so try reverting back to 314 or even 306.

Im using the 320.18. Should I manually uninstall this driver before installing the 314?

Also, Im using the new Asus monitor of 144hz connected with a display port cable. Just thought I'd mention that just in case its something about those 2 things.

Oh and I wanted to say as well: I was told to upgrade my SSD's firmware which was 040H and I changed it to 070H and the issue happened again anyway.

Yes it;s recommended you uninstall the current one then go into safe mode and use driver sweeper to clean any left over from the current driver.
While installing the "new" driver choose the "preform a clean install" option :).

Ok so, I was looking around in my event viewer (forgot to do this before) and I've noticed an error that I get every day called WMI. The error number it gives me every time is: 0x80041003

I ran a windows WMI Diagnosis Utility and it obviously said that there are a lot of errors but I don't understand anything of what was reported.

I attached the result that I got. Please let me know whats going on here and if that's what's causing my system to freeze and unfreeze after idle periods.

Personally, I've never used the WMI Diagnosis Utility and have never read the log before, but from reading the log, I was able to see a few possible causes.

Firstly, there appears to be something wrong with your registry, have you made any alterations or used any PC Performance/Optimizers or Registry Cleaners?

Why have you disabled your UAC? I strongly suggest you enable the UAC again, following these instructions - User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings

I dont remember doing any of those things. The only thing I did when I set up my PC was to make user folder to be on drive D instead of C. Is that what it is?

I wouldn't say so, have you tried a System Restore before this problem happened? Backup any important files and data before you perform the restore.
