    Create/Recover Taskbar Shortcut

A while back I made a shortcut to an app, placed it on the desktop and also pinned it to the taskbar. Recently I accidentally deleted the desktop shortcut. The taskbar shortcut still functions. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make a copy of it and put it back on the desktop. Is there a solution?

    -thx

You can right click on the taskbar icon to open its jump list.

Press and hold the Shift key and right click on the app's name in the jump list (at bottom).

You can now click on Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut). :)
