    can't delete a scr file.

    Hi.
First sorry for my bad english.
Here is my problem: I just opened a spam mail and downloaded a zip file from it and now I want to delete it but I can't. The file type is a Jscript Script file and it's called "invoice_sbmNiz" located in Username, AppData, Local, Temp, Temp1_hi.zip, scr. So when I tried to delete it, it appeared the following message: You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this file. But the thing is I am the administrator. Then I checked on some online help forums. It was said that I need to right click the file and choose Property but then I couldn't see any security tab to get granted full ownership of it. I tried to follow other forum advice to make the security tab appear but I didn't manage to do so (by unchecking the "Use simple file sharing" option which is, by the way, called "Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended)" on my computer (not sure it's actually the same though)).
Any idea about what I could do to delete the file? As you surely noticed already, I know nothing about computers so please try to explain me in the easiest way possible. Thank you so much.

Try force deleting from Command Prompt. Use

    DEL /F /S /Q /A "Full path to folder\Temp1_hi.zip"

File - Delete from Command Prompt

To get the folder or file path navigate to it then hold [Shift+Right Click] and select "Copy as Path"

Or boot into safe mode and delete it that way.

    Thank you so much.
But now when I type C:\Users\Asus\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp1_hi.zip\scr.zip, this is to say where the file was, it says Windows can't find it. Was it a temporary file? Or does it still exist somewhere on the hard disk? And if yes how to find it again?

Since it was in a temp folder it may well have been deleted already. Search the file name.

Downloading files from spam emails that contain executables (.scr) isn't a good idea. I'd suggest running scans for malware with your onboard security apps just in case.

Obviously, I will try not to do that again but originally I was not sure it was a spam.
Anyway, I scanned the computer with both the free version of Avast and the Microsoft security essentials and both told me there was no threat so hopefully everything is OK now.
If you have more informations about what was really the file which disappeared and also more advices about how to deal with this kind of problems, please let me know.
Thank you so much for your help, Callender.

If you've got Group Policy Editor:

Notify Antivirus Programs when Opening Attachments

Note: Not available in Home Premium version of Windows 7. In any case this setting is not configured by default. If you enable this setting then windows will block attachments from opening if the onboard Antivirus Program failed to scan them.

Scan anything you download with your AV and check the file against VirusTotal's database.

Here's a couple of programs that you can scan files with:

Any type of file: Virus Total Scanner

Any downloaded executable file can be dragged and dropped onto the PE Studio desktop icon for a scan and report.
