Sudden shut off, won't turn on

While using my pc, it turned off like it was going to standby. I tried to turned it on, but no luck. My PSU will power on, but that's it. There is no indicator light on my mobo. My video card does not turn on either. However the outside power light on my tower turns on.

I had this kind of problem recently, which I posted about [here].

    Update:

    1) Took out there graphics card, but no start up. I can hear my HD starting up, but still no power to mobo.

    2) I'm going to get ahold of a pcu to test that next. Fingers crossed.

Could be one of three things:

    1. Your power supply is blown
    2. Your motherboard has bit the dust
    3. Your graphics card is faulty.

There are a couple of things you can do to test this out.

    - remove the graphics card and see if the computer will start up. Obviously, you'll have no screen, but see if the fans spin up and the motherboard light comes on and you'll get a POST beep. If you do, replace the graphics card.

    - borrow a power supply from a friend if you can and plug it in, if the computer will start up, your power supply is the culprit.

If those two don't work, it might be your mother board. Try those two things and post back, please.

(Judging by your other thread, it sounds like the power supply to me, but I'd like you to try to troubleshoot this before I make a guess like that.)

I started back up, and it was perfectly fine. However I shut it off, and now there's no power again to the pc.

If there is no power, it sounds like you need a new Power Supply. Let it sit about a half hour and try it again. If it starts up, I would download the free https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download and check all of your temperatures.
