windows 10 upgrade gone badly wrong on new laptop

apologies if this is the wrong place but am desperate to find a solution.
bought a new asus t200 transformer for my kid with 8.1
all ok until i stupidly went for the windows 10 upgrade which failed and the machine spent 24 hours plus trying to restore 8.1 which it cant !
called ms support - what a joke ...
they tried to download a new 8.1 onto usb but that doesnt work and when i called them back basically told me to F off back to the manufacturer .

I can get the bios open but dont know what options to use for recovery ?

any ideas or experience of this ..

    Hello, Eurosteve :).

What do want to do with this laptop?
This is a Windows 7 forum. I see your Toshiba is win 7 32 bit home in your System specs
You must have a Windows 7 disc with it, so can you not restore it to a Windows 7 factory set to start with a fresh sheet?
