Rename User Account

Hello; I am wondering if it is possible to rename my user account from the CLI? My user account is also the administrator account. Since I did a recent re-install of Windows, I am not happy with my choice of name for my account.
Or alternatively, could I add another admin. user account and delete the first one? I would prefer just to rename, if that is possible.:)

Do not rename a user account, create a new one and delete the one you no longer want.

Changing the user name will cause all kinds of problems.

Here it is the way to do it:
Rename local user account

If it's a new install and you've barely customized anything I would simply create a new one and delete the original, as there isn't much to lose from that. Otherwise I would rename.

What problems would a rename cause, exactly? Considering the alternative is very destructive too.
For one, a making new account an abandoning the old one cripples permissions in every system object, loses all account settings for all programs (stored in the per-user registry hives and the user profile) and forces moving all the data in the user profile to a new location.

Thanks everyone, I will give the rename a try first. I have created another admin. account, I will change the original to a standard account, rename it and change it back to an admin. account. I will let you know how it works.

Edit: Success! Although the rename command completed successfully, it didn't seem to effect any change. I had to add another account via CLI, then using the GUI, changed it to an admin. account.
Then I changed the old account to a standard account and deleted it, keeping the files, which I moved to the new account. Ilost the old account settings of course, but that's an easy fix. The only app I lost was my kindle reading app, again an easy fix. I did this with both my windows 7 and windows 10 machines, same results with each. There is probably a better way, but I am happy as I have accomplished the desired results.
