Windows Experience Index can't check the CPU

Like most PC users, every so often, I re assess my Windows Experience Index. The current index is 5.9 but it's been that for some time now.
Every other part of the Windows Experience check goes ahead without a hitch. It's only the very last part when the performance of the CPU is supposed to be measured that I get the massage that the CPU can't be checked.
What could have happened?
My CPU is a dual Core Intel and in every other respect it works fine.
Can anyone make some suggestions?

So I ran WEI today and to my surprise my score seem to have drop from a 4.8 to a 4.5, now this may not seem big but it was my ''Gaming Graphics" score that seem to have took a toll from 5.3 to 4.5 now I don't seem to see any performance degraded what cause the score to drop?
