HELP!!! Problem with resolution on taskbar...

Hi everyone! This is my first time to this forum. I was looking for someone that has the same problem as me online, and found this forum. I'm hoping someone here can help me. I bought a new laptop last week with 7 on it, I love it. However, while i'm online, it seems my as if the resolution in the task bar keeps messing up. Whole lines, or blocks, or I'm not really sure what you'd call it keep turning funky shades, and stuff. I assumed it was the computer, and took it back today for a replacement. But, the new one I just got today is doing the same thing. I tried to recreate the problem to post up here, but you know how that goes!!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi and welcome

It would be easier if you could take a screenshot and upload it to us.

You can do that by using the built in snipping tool (just type snipping in search) and then to upload use the attachment icon (its shaped like a paperclip) in the reply form

Let us know if you need help with that

What browser are you running? Since you mentioned that it happens "when you are online", does it happen at other times?

Are you running software supplied by the manufacturer?

    Ken -

that would be great if I could...but each time i touch it, when it is messed up, it goes back to the way it should. At this point, I don't know if it is a windows issue, or an hp issue.

So, it ONLY happens when you are in internet explorer AND you are not touching the PC? Does it occur right away or does it take a while to begin goofing up? Is IE in full-screen or windowed mode?

Since this has occurred on two brand new computers I suspect its a problem with your HP. I would make sure that you have all of the latest drivers downloaded and installed. If the problem still occurs you might want to see if the issue occurs with another browser (Mozilla Firefox would be my choice). Call HP tech support and check the HP forums.

    Ski ~

It has happened when IE is on full screen. To clarify, when it happens, I am using my PC, however the task bar corrects itself when I click on the distorted bar, that is why it seems impossible for me to show anyone, unless they are here when it happens. I worked some last night not in full screen, and it didn't seem to happen.

thank you for the advice, and I will surely check out some HP forums.. I really don't want to have to go shop around for another new computer!! lol
