    Can This Be Rectified?

The Windows Search Service is being stopped because there is a problem with the indexer: The catalog is corrupt.

    Details:
The content index catalog is corrupt. (HRESULT : 0xc0041801) (0xc0041801)
Was not at computer when this happened. Seems to be working fine. Just would like to know if I should take any action. Thank you.

No need to be sorry Chuck, and its good to hear you were able to get the problem squared away and posted back how you straightened it out.

Do you use any cleaners like CCleaner? Sometimes they can be a bit more aggressive than we like. If you haven't already you could run a Sfc /scannow with an elevated command prompt, just to check if everything else is okay with your system. Let us know if anything crops up.

btw: Is that a picture of a Harrier or Aardvark on your profile page?

    Your welcome!

Not to take any power from Chucks thread, but I couldn't let that pass without acknowledgement.

    Well Done!

    Thanks

Suggestion appreciated. Running check as we speak. The aircraft is an F8U2NE. Rode these in Vietnam. Returned to brand new F4 Phantoms. Rode them in the Dominican Republic in my younger days. Got my 1000mph certification in the Phantom. Retired now. Life is good. Chuck
