cant read disk problem plz help

    hi everyone
well, I am really sad here. I had the cant read disk, enter ctrl alt delete to restart problem.
I dont know how to solve this, i know and heard formatting would solve this, but formatting is the worse option for me, it means losing my data
i have tried to use HP's tool to repair the disk, it tells me error read disk
tried to use win7 repair tools: when i use the memory diagnostic, it tells me something like: something is preventing the repair
when i try the start up repair, it tells me there is a problem with the disk and its trying to solve it, but it doesnt.

I tried to log in through a usb boot version of win xp, i was able to get to the OS_Tool partition and hp_recovery partition, but could not get to C:\ where my folders exists, it tells me there that i need to format the driver. But all of those partitions are on the same hard disk!

is there a solution for this, i dont want to lose my data
