    Remove subfolder name from Library

    Hello,

Recently I reinstalled my Windows 7, because I had some problems with it.

Now to my problem after the clean install..
When I access Documents Library, it shows some kind of header, or group name called "Documents". When I right click it, it shows options to pack or unpack group. Other libraries don't seem to have this kind of "grouping".

Now the reason why I am asking is because I never had it and I am not used to it.

    Thanks.

I think you are seeing right-click functionality that was added by a separate application to Zip (pack) the folder.

No, this is showing after accessing Documents library from the Start menu, or from the Libraries menu.
I don't have any Zip application installed. The thing is that the header, or group name above the folders bothers me.

Ah, I think I'm starting to understand. That text you circled is the name and path to the folder that is included in your Library.

To remove that folder from your Library:

    1. Select the Library > Documenty folder in the tree pane (as in your screen shot above).
    2. Click the 1 umisteni link to open the Documents Library Locations window.
    3. Click on the folder in the Library locations pane.
    4. Click the Remove button.
    5. Click the OK button.

That folder will no longer be listed in your Documents Library.

If you add folders to the Library in the future, each will be displayed with their name and location.

Hello Amic, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

This would be part of your folder view settings. You can set Group by to (None) to remove the grouping for this library.

Thank you all for helping me! Especially the suggestion to set Grouping to (None) was very helpful.
