I'm not too worried about Windows spying on me, if they want my information, they'll get it whether it be through Windows 10 or any other method. Same goes with anyone who wants my information. Being an IT administrator I need to know the latest technology to be helpful, so having it, using it every day, etc, helps me be better at my job. I won't scoff at anyone who stays away from Windows 10, you have your own reasons, but for me personally, Windows 10 is just fine. But then again, I feel Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 are just fine as well.
Have to agree that I think the privacy issues surrounding 10 have been way overblown. I've always said if MS wants to get info, they'll likely collect it anyway. I'm pretty sure they get enough of it from 7/8.1 and I don't really see any major difference in Windows 10. Probably more telemetry than previous versions, but that isn't always a bad thing.

For me, it comes down to compelling reasons to upgrade. I have yet to find any that make me go WOW I must get on 10 right now!!

I'm not interested in Mobile style APPS except when I'm using them on my phone. Not interested in cloud first computing/OneDrive integration. Definitely not interested in Cortana/Voice search technologies. I use Android devices and the first thing I do is remove the Google App. It's just as easy to map your home key to the Google search page without all the unnecessary bloat installed.

In future, who knows, but right now.... I'm happy where I am. I can see reasons why others would want to upgrade though. I would never tell anyone not to install it, that's their choice, and it's whatever works for them. Each to their own I say. What a boring world it would be, if we all liked the same things anyway. :)

Don't hold your breath. Even if it does happen, I no longer trust MS.

What will you do when Windows XP support ends?
I'm wondering , since I still have one XP box (its actually installing XP right now) that is going to run XP and the programs that I have that won't work on Windows 7 (including games that wouldn't play well in Virtual PC) and I have a Windows 7 license for it, but it's one of those stupid OEM...

More... Funny how SP2 support ends...but SP3 is essentially SP2. I know they consider them to be different, and they are technically different releases. But come on...
