Windows 7: Libraries views

Libraries views

Since the beta, I've had this problem with libraries in that for any custom created libraries (excluding the default ones) you can't change the view independently, for example I would want my "Downloads" library to have the LIST view but my "Software" library view set to MEDIUM ICONS.
But change one and they all follow suit! It is hugely frustrating!
Am I the only one that finds this to be wrong?

Secondly, if I change the "Arrange by" from "Folder" to anything else like "Type" or "Date modifying".
This however only became a problem in the final Windows 7 version...
Anyone else have this issue?

Windows 10 Pro (x64)

It has to do with the "Optimize this library for:" what ever you select there syncs it view with any other library that uses the same one. Changing the view or options effect them all.

Thanks, that does make more sense in that way.
Still, I have no control over changing the views for individual folders within a library which still leaves me a bit frustrated with it...

No, that's my second issue a mentioned originally:

"Secondly, if I change the "Arrange by" from "Folder" to anything else like "Type" or "Date modifying".

I realize now I've not actually finished explaining what happens here! When I change "Arrange by" from "Folder" to anything else, everything disappears and it looks like an empty folder.
Very strange...

Library Views
I love the library except for one thing: folder views and specifically the fact that if you open a folder via the library it does not remember which view you used. It works fine viewing the folder any other way than through libraries. It's incredibly frustrating having to change the view every...
