    My icons are gone

I have windows 7 and upgraded to Windows 10. What a mistake. I had to revert back to Windows 7 using my disk and now when it boots up I have no icons. Once in a while it will boot with my icons but once it goes to sleep upon awakening they are gone again. All my drivers are up to date. I have no task manger therefore can not hit CTL Alt Del. If I right click a menu pops up, let's say I click on personalize .... Nothing happens

I have no anti virus loaded yet. As a matter of fact nothing loaded except windows 7 Pro 64 bit
Does anyone have a clue what this may be?

    Thanks

Personally, if I was ever silly enough to "upgrade" to Win10 and wanted to go back to &, it would have to be a reinstallation from scratch.
You did image your system before you opted for Windows 10 didn't you?

I did not image my system. I did a fresh install. Formatted then Installed

I "had" to go back to 7. There was no drivers available fir my wireless card

If you have no image for your 7 system, then a new installation is your best option.

I finally got it. I had to rebuild my Icon Cache and that took care of it

I still have an issue with my files when they open they go to a monitor that isn't there . I can identify the two that I'm using but the other one seems to be invisible. Perhaps because it's a ghost and my files like excel or firefox open to that ghost screen

Plus my wifi keeps dropping out
