    Some Startup Items Not Loading...

    Hello all:
I'm having a problem with items in the startup folder. Upon (re)starting Win7 it will load all the startup items, but one or two don't load. The items that don't load appear to be random, so it's not always one item. I have Win7 on two machines and both exhibit this problem.

So anyone having this problem? What can I do to resolve this issue? Any help is very much appreciated!

Hi there click start, in the start search button, type msconfig and hit Enter. Click Startup tab, click Enable All, apply & Ok. Restart your pc.

I appreciate your help, but as I initially said, the items that don't load appear to be random at each startup/restart. I have already checked msconfig, and obviously everything there is as it should be.

Can you give examples of the items?

Sure. Stickies, Process Explorer, WinWarden, etc. Other than essential items like Logitech SetPoint, it's just little tweaking apps.

I'm also noticing that some system icons won't show up, such as the volume icon...

My windows 7 home premium also the same. Sometimes the Network icon or Volume icon or Antivirus icon went missing. Once I reboot, everything become ok. I also checked the msconfig but the problem still exist. I can't find any reason for this.

Hello Hwee, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sometimes resetting the notification area icons may be able to help this.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
